Het Depot is looking for a full-time bar, events and hospitality employee (x/f/m)

Het Depot organizes about 150 concerts per year in its own venue, along with a few festivals (M-IDZOMER, and&, COOL Festival), and is therefore a well known player within the Belgian music scene. Apart from organizing concerts we work hard on stimulating musical talent and optimizing performing opportunities for artists. Our venue is also the perfect location to organize different sorts of events.

Job description 

• The bars in Het Depot are the center of any concert evening: this is where people meet, and you will make it shine. Every room with a bar and fridge is yours: from the foyer to the VIP.
• You will lift the bar experience to a new level. You are constantly looking for improvement in the field of organization, innovation, decoration and sustainability with an eye on cost-benefit.  
• You enjoy it when you see people enjoy their beverage at a concert, or their cocktail at a party, and it thrills you when you can to provide the artists with their preferred wine.
• You and your colleagues make everybody feel welcome (volunteers & public). Het Depot wants to be an openminded space where everyone feels right at home. 
• You are a people’s person: you manage the bar and the volunteers working there, you have a good relation with the suppliers (catering & drinks), and you enjoy a talk with the audience.
• You will coordinate events (B2B, B2C) that take place at Het Depot. You will make the client an offer based on their specific needs, and will make sure their evening goes smooth.
• Your paperwork (event offers, invoices to the customer, deliveries) is impeccable. 
• You will report sales figures of the bar revenue and events on a regularly basis to the staff.
• You are responsible for the logistics of the foyer: bar, audio & lights, vending machines, etc.

And you are 

• You are the one that is screaming: "RUNNING THE BAR AT A CONCERT VENUE? HELL YEAH!"
• You don’t mind working nights and weekends. You know how to organize your own work.
• Meeting people gives you energy. You are a people’s person: language, gender, orientation, origin, age and social background are no boundaries.
• You know that being prepared means avoiding stress. You enjoy making up tight schedules. 
• When things seem to go wrong, you never hesitate to interact. You know how to address people and will always look for solutions.
• Your eagerness and attitude are worth more than any diploma.
