What-U-On-About?! is a Leuven-based drum & bass collective founded by Tesla, Speedwagon, Fuzz, Teezer and MC Mota. For over a decade, the crew has been putting quality D&B back on the map, bringing heavy selections, rolling basslines and a welcoming, no-nonsense dancefloor energy to the city.

Since joining forces with Het Depot in 2022 for a first club night at Studio Manhattan featuring Hazard and USED, the collaboration has grown into a series of sold-out and nearly sold-out nights.

Now, What-U-On-About?! returns to Het Depot for its 8th curated night.

Aphrodite

Excited to introduce a true legend of the scene: DJ Aphrodite.

Few artists have shaped the global jungle and drum & bass scene quite like DJ Aphrodite. A pioneer of jump-up D&B, the British DJ and producer has been setting dancefloors alight since the early ’90s, earning a reputation as one of the world’s most renowned and widely travelled artists in the genre.

His signature sound combines rolling breaks, heavyweight basslines and infectious energy. Tracks like ‘Stalker’, ‘Ganja Man’ and ‘King of the Beats’ have become enduring dancefloor anthems.

A true legend of the scene, Aphrodite continues to deliver the bass-heavy beats and relentless energy that have made him a household name in jungle and drum & bass.

TC

Bristol-born TC is a heavyweight name in drum & bass, with a career spanning more than two decades. Known for anthems such as “Where’s My Money?”, “Deep”, “Jump” and “Get Down Low”, he has built a reputation as a versatile producer, DJ and vocalist.

From early releases on Valve and D-Style Recordings to music on OWSLA and collaborations with artists including Pendulum, Sub Focus and DJ Fresh, TC has consistently pushed the boundaries of bass music. His high-energy DJ sets combine heavyweight production, classic D&B flavours and a distinctive musical edge.

A true Bristol original and a long-standing force in drum & bass.

What-U-On-About?!

WHAT-U-ON-ABOUT?! is a Louvain based quality drum’n’bass concept organised by Tesla, Speedwagon, Fuzz, Teezer. The first 5 years MC Mota was part of their collective as well. They are a dj-collective, organize quality events and host a podcast. On a regular basis they come up with a funky fresh drum’n’bass line up with residents and guest dj’s in Leuven, Belgium.

Over the past few years their parties grew from a limited capacity but cosy event to one of the major players in the Belgian drum & bass scene. Over the years they had international guests like Shy FX, Mefjus, S.P.Y, Black Sun Empire, Halogenix, DJ Hazard, D-Bridge, Lenzman, Aphrodite, Skeptical, Commix, Total Science, LSB, Jubei, Technimatic, Serum… over.

Quality drum’n’bass, big vibes, friendly atmosphere and dreadful hangovers are keywords for WHAT-U-ON-ABOUT?! Events.

Hiraeth

Belgian producer Hiraeth has been steadily making his mark with a versatile take on drum & bass, moving effortlessly between deep, soulful and darker sounds. His sets reflect that same range, blending emotion and atmosphere with rolling energy and heavier moments. With releases on labels including Liquicity, Shogun Audio, Fokuz and Dispatch, Hiraeth is heading into an exciting 2027, with new music on some of the scene’s leading labels and one of his most ambitious projects to date on the horizon.

Istoria

Istoria discovered drum & bass around the age of 15, and over the years shaped a sound and taste distinctly his own. His music has found homes on respected labels including Vandal, Goldfat, Lunar and Fokuz Recordings.

Beyond the studio, Istoria is the driving force behind Headspace, an underground drum & bass concept rooted in Belgium. Built around quality, forward-thinking sounds and a love for the deeper side of the genre, Headspace brings some of the finest names in drum & bass to the Belgian underground.

Expensive KVR

Expensive KVR is a Ghent-based drum & bass DJ and leader of Footloose Crew. Hooked on D&B at 16, he started mixing in 2008 and has since played at events including Rampage Open Air, Liquicity Antwerp, Headspace and What-U-On-About?!.

His sets blend liquid, rollers and breaks, with a focus on variation, flow and carefully crafted buildups. Combining fresh discoveries with signature selections, Expensive KVR is all about creating an infectious atmosphere and keeping the dancefloor moving.

MC D-Bro

D-Bro is a Belgian drum & bass MC who has been active since 2015. Initially rooted in jump-up, he later evolved towards deeper, more technical sounds, combining meaningful lyrics with energetic delivery.

Having performed at events including Rampage Open Air, Bredren Invites and What-U-On-About?!, he has hosted sets for artists such as The Prototypes, DJ Aphrodite, Break and Audio. His style balances crowd energy with respect for the music, complementing each DJ’s sound while keeping the dancefloor moving.

MC Mota

MC Mota is one of Belgium’s most renowned drum & bass MCs, known for his explosive stage presence, lyrical skills and ability to ignite any dancefloor. As resident MC at Rampage and Liquicity, he has performed at major festivals and venues worldwide, including Tomorrowland, Let It Roll, Fabric London, Pukkelpop and Dour, sharing stages with artists such as Andy C, Netsky, Noisia and Camo & Krooked.

Beyond the stage, Mota is an accomplished recording artist with releases on labels including RAM Records, Viper Recordings and Liquicity. His track ‘Dominator’ became a modern D&B anthem, earning international recognition.
