Musa Keys

Musa Keys, born Musa Makamu, started his music career in elementary school after joining the church band as a keyboard player. The rest is history. Literally starting out of nowhere, he was introduced on the streets of South Africa to amapiano, the subgenre of house music that emerged in South Africa in the mid-2010s. Expect a hybrid mix of deep house, rhythmic percussion and low bass. All clear?

Yooth

At the crossroads of various percussion-driven club genres, you'll find Yooth looking for musical fusions that fit his preferred formula: soul, lively percussion, vibrant melodies, shimmering textures and unstoppable rhythm. Stimulated by the global melting pot that is Brussels, he founded Brikabrak to create a platform where new musical subcultures are discovered. Come playfully shapeshift and create physical pleasure to the rhythms of Yooth.

Hygra

Leuven local Hygra knows how to turn a dull shack into a crowded dance floor in no time. At home in almost all genres, he effortlessly turns corners on hip-hop, R&B, afrobeats, baile-funk and amapiano. The decks hold no secrets for him.

MarieLou

A brand new resident of Centah and artist in residence at Het Depot, the Belgian-Congolese MarieLou is anything but a stranger. Behind the decks, she effortlessly mixes hip-hop, afrobeats, afrohouse, amapiano, baile funk, UK funky and more. Sitting still is out of the question, dancing is guaranteed.

Dave Clarke

Dave Clarke is a DJ with an anarchic streak and punk in his soul. Nothing says this more clearly than his relentlessly effective, greasy techno sets, full of powerful, dark songwriting. He undoubtedly lives up to his nickname, the Baron of Techno. Clarke disappears into the background and lets his music do the talking (blowing any venue apart without effort).

Goldfox

If you try to make a map of the Belgian electronic music scene, be sure to mark Goldfox's name in fluorescent yellow for the Limburg region. With a wide range of melodic techno, breaks and acid stompers, he effortlessly throws in a surprising twist every time. In short: musical creativity is never out of the question. With festivals like Pukkelpop and Tomorrowland on his resume, Limburg's finest has a name to live up to.

Catalina

Catalina has been steadily making leaps and bounds in the Brussels electronic music scene. A regular local at Bruzz and Kiosk Radio, she has made a name for herself by exploring the chemistry between deconstructed heavy, percussive tempos and aquatic melodies, while borrowing elements from her musical beginnings in the UK. Her textured and uplifting sets are almost otherworldly, teleporting dance floors further into the stratosphere and beyond with a colourful mutation of leftfield electro, breaks and house.

S-Candalo

S-Candalo: DJ duo consisting of sister Tania and brother Dominik Humeres-Correa. In their sets, besides a deep homage to the oldschool sound, you can hear a kind of telepathic bond that only siblings share. Their sets are a synthesis of passion and a distinct flavour that oozes with fierceness. Their sound is burning and relentless with seductive vocal samples, loopy synths and bright, punchy kicks. With upcoming gigs this year in London, Amsterdam, Athens and Berlin, you can expect outrage and heated speakers from city to city.

Sedef Adasï

Looking for emerging talent and new sounds from the German scene? Look no further. In her sessions, Sedef Adasï bounces between euphoric techno, ruff house classics, space disco and cool electro with elegance and ease. With her performances at Berghain's best Panorama Bar or Frankfurt's Robert Johnson, she is undoubtedly one of the scene's most promising new artists. Our little Leuven Vismarkt will be raised to a raging level.

Fafi Abdel Nour

Syrian-born and Groningen-based Fafi Abdel Nour has been a regular at OOST for years. Besides being a resident, he is co-founder of queer night HOMOOST and does not adhere to the waves of electronic music and no-we-don't-do clichés. Instead, you can find him with a sound that is unconstrained and in no way timid. On the contrary: it is unmistakably refreshing and determined. Deep and organic, but accompanied by dramatic melodies, Italian oddities, disco and all things wacko.

Exalt

Anyone talking about Leuven legends or founding fathers of the scene here in our Leuven should ab-so-lutely not forget Exalt. Brother duo Ben and Bert are more than a DJ duo. Brothers, DJs, notorious diggers of the best vinyl, radio hosts at Mind Warp on The Word Radio and Radio Scorpio or simply Ben and Bert Verstreken. Exalt is the real deal, a DJ's DJ duo. The Fish Market is a home match pur sang.
